A three-story building in Benetússer collapsed last night without causing personal injury, after residents were evacuated in time.

The chief inspector of the Valencia Firefighters Consortium, Jorge Gil, explained that the building, located on Las Américas street in Benetússer, was evacuated after residents detected the appearance of cracks and heard noises. Minutes after ensuring no one was inside, the property collapsed.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and observed an adjacent plot with ongoing construction, where several foundations had become dislodged. Due to this situation, a complete evacuation of the building was carried out.
As Gil detailed, approximately one or two minutes after the evacuation, the building came down. Fortunately, no personal injuries were reported.
