This intervention, which has a budget of 838,298 euros, aims to advance the works immediately without waiting for the completion of the comprehensive reconstruction project, valued at nearly 7 million euros. The work focuses on the sports courts on 8 de Marzo street and the park on Sénia street.
The works on the sports facilities, which occupy an area of 1,600 square meters, include the renovation of enclosures, access doors, and the improvement of deteriorated elements. Meanwhile, in the Sénia street park, cleaning, demolition, and land preparation tasks are being carried out to facilitate the future comprehensive redevelopment of the 7,200-square-meter space.
The planned execution period is three months, although the council is working to complete the actions in approximately one month. During this period, security measures have been established through fencing and signage of the affected areas to ensure citizen protection.
The council has noted that, despite administrative complexity, this measure will allow for the recovery of functionality and accessibility in these meeting points. Likewise, the local administration maintains the priority of executing the complete project in the José Antequera green zone, which requires greater technical complexity due to the integration of sustainable drainage infrastructure.
