The Alaquàs Castle hosted a mental health awareness event today, coinciding with World Mental Health Day.

The central event was the screening of the short film ‘Visibles, rompiendo el silencio’, a finalist in international festivals such as the 15th Delhi Shorts International Film Festival-26 in India and the "Otras Miradas" International Social Cinema Contest.
Following the screening, a panel discussion took place with the film's protagonists, the coordinator of Mirades Fest, the president of AFEM TORRENT (Association for the support and psychosocial inclusion of people with mental health problems) and director of the short film, Jorge Climent Llopis. The event was attended by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Elena Solís.
The short film 'Visibles. Rompiendo el silencio' addresses mental health from the perspective of affected individuals, their families, and companions, exploring themes of loneliness, isolation, and misunderstanding, as well as overcoming challenges and hope.
The Alaquàs City Council, through the Mental Health Support Service (SASEM) program of the Social Welfare Department, participates in this festival that fosters the intersection of cinema, social activism, and critical thinking to defend human rights and mental health.
