The Alaquàs City Council has announced that the public company CASA 47, under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda, will accept the transfer of the municipal plot at Sabater Fornés street nº7 to promote the construction of new public housing for affordable rent.

CASA 47 will cover all expenses related to the construction of the homes, including projects, technical studies, site management, construction, licenses, and taxes. This initiative represents a significant step towards expanding the public housing supply in Alaquàs and moving towards a model that facilitates access to decent housing, especially for young people and families facing difficulties in accessing the real estate market.
CASA 47 is the state-owned public company established with the objective of promoting and managing a large public park of affordable rental housing, thereby guaranteeing the right to housing as stipulated in Article 47 of the Spanish Constitution.
The Mayor of Alaquàs has positively assessed the news, stating that “it is magnificent news, because we want our young people to be able to stay here, become independent, and have a future in our town”. He also recalled that the concept of affordable rent implies that housing costs should not exceed 30% of the family unit's income.
This action complements the measures promoted by the Alaquàs City Council to encourage housing mobilization and facilitate access to this essential good. The council will continue working to ensure that housing is a right and not a privilege.
