Alaquàs declares orange alert for rain and suspends activities tomorrow

Given the orange alert for rain and storms declared for tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st, the Alaquàs City Council has decided to suspend numerous municipal and educational activities.

The Valencian Community Emergency Coordination Centre has declared an ORANGE ALERT for rain and storms throughout the Province of Valencia for tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st, effective from 2 PM to 11:59 PM. Following the recommendation guide, the CECOPAL has specified the following measures to ensure public safety.
From 1 PM tomorrow, Thursday, educational activity and extracurricular activities in educational centers will be suspended. Likewise, all sports activities, both outdoors and indoors, and municipal sports programming courses will be suspended.
All activity will also be closed and suspended from 1 PM at various municipal facilities, including the Benàger Social Centre, the Senior Day Centre, the Alaquàs Castle, toy libraries, educational spaces, the youth department, Urban Gardens, Paelleros del Parc del Dijous, Neighborhood Courts, Terç and Bovalar Sports Centres, the Library, the Municipal Study Room, the Cemetery, and the Dog Recreation Areas (ZEC’s).
Activities planned on the municipal agenda will also be suspended. Public service will be available until 1 PM. The public is advised to avoid unnecessary travel and especially to stay away from parks, gardens, and dog recreation areas, as well as to avoid crossing underpasses.
Due to the meteorological alert, the street market will end its activity at 12 PM tomorrow. For any emergency, the number is 112 Comunitat Valenciana.
