The sports facility in Rafelbunyol has undergone a significant improvement with the replacement of the old translucent roof panels with new ones. This intervention, funded by the Provincial Council of Valencia through the Open Investment Plan, addresses a request from the Rafelbunyol Pilota Club and allows for the recovery of natural light, thereby reducing reliance on artificial lighting during sports practice.
The original panels had not been renewed since the trinquet's opening, making this work a necessary update for a key venue for Valencian pilota in the municipality. The City Council thus reaffirms its commitment to the continuous improvement of local sports facilities, aiming to provide more suitable and comfortable installations for all residents.

And doing so at the trinquet has, moreover, a special significance, because we are talking about a space where one of the most deeply rooted sports in Rafelbunyol and our culture is practiced: Valencian pilota."
The mayor, Fran López, highlighted the importance of this investment for the municipality's sporting future, emphasizing the cultural value of Valencian pilota in Rafelbunyol.

With the new panels, we improve natural light, the comfort of the people who use the facility, and at the same time, we make more efficient use of artificial lighting."
For her part, the Sports Councilor, Rosa Azor, emphasized that the renovation responds to a demand from the sports club, improving both the luminosity and the energy efficiency of the facility.
This improvement is part of a broader plan by the City Council for the maintenance and updating of local sports infrastructure, thereby reinforcing the commitment to accessible, quality sport in the municipality.
