Provincial Council funds 1.5 million in improvements for six L'Horta municipalities

Funds are allocated to projects for street renovation, sidewalk improvements, equipment creation, and sports facility upgrades.

The Provincial Council of Valencia has approved eight new projects for six municipalities in L'Horta, with a total investment of 1.5 million euros for urban and infrastructure improvements.

The Provincial Council of Valencia has given the green light to eight new projects presented by six municipalities in the L'Horta Nord and L'Horta Sud regions, with a total investment of 1.5 million euros. Of this amount, 880,000 euros will be allocated to five actions in L'Horta Nord and 672,000 euros to three projects in L'Horta Sud.
Massamagrell stands out, receiving 772,503 euros for the renovation of several streets. Of this, 455,523 euros will be for asphalt paving, while 316,980 euros will be dedicated to adapting sidewalks and pedestrian routes on avenues such as Raval, Nàquera, and Serra, as well as on Virgen del Milagro street.
In L'Horta Nord, Massalfassar will use 71,304 euros to create an facility on a municipal plot. Additionally, Rafelbunyol will receive funds to improve its indoor swimming pool, with 18,148 euros for the supply and installation of air conditioning equipment and 18,145 euros for the purchase of gym machines.
In L'Horta Sud, the approved projects include the renovation of the sewer system in the San Francisco neighborhood of the Omet urbanization in Picassent (496,250 euros), the restoration of the Corts Valencianes square in Catarroja (145,292 euros), and the installation of two signs on the Diputación and La Florida avenues in Alcàsser (30,686 euros).
These projects are part of the new decree of the Pla Obert (Open Plan) by the Provincial Council of Valencia, which allocates seven million euros to 45 projects from 35 municipalities and three inter-municipal consortia. The plan, coordinated by vice-president Natàlia Enguix, has now approved 1,228 projects with a global investment of 191 million euros.
Enguix highlighted the increase in project submissions from municipalities, stating that at least one decree is approved monthly with dozens of new actions. The provincial president, Mompó, emphasized that nearly 60% of the Pla Obert has been approved, with hundreds of works underway or completed, and encouraged municipalities to maximize the use of funds to improve infrastructure and services.
