Paterna City Council has launched a reinforcement plan for pest control in the urban and industrial sewage network in response to rising summer temperatures.

The interventions, carried out during June, July, and August, focus on the disinfection, disinsection, and deratization of the entire sanitation system. These tasks are part of an annual plan covering all neighborhoods, industrial estates, and business areas in the town.
According to municipal sources, the treatments used are effective and environmentally friendly, ensuring optimal health conditions in public spaces and green areas. During these operations, some insects may emerge to the surface, although the municipal service has clarified that these specimens die quickly due to the treatment and pose no risk of spreading.
Furthermore, the council and Aigües de Paterna maintain an active support service to manage citizen reports. Residents can report any incidents through the company's website or by calling 96 137 96 00.
