Eight Gymnasts from Burjassot to Compete in Aerobic World Championship

The Gimnasia Abetmar Burjassot Club contributes eight athletes to the Spanish national team for the World Championship taking place in Pamplona.

Eight gymnasts from the Gimnasia Abetmar Burjassot Club have been selected to represent Spain at the 2026 Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships, which this year will be held in Pamplona.

The Burjassot club returns to compete at the international elite level of aerobic gymnastics with the participation of eight of its gymnasts in the world event. The competition will take place at the Navarra Arena in Pamplona, making it the epicenter of the sport.
The World Championship will begin on Friday, September 4th, with the Youth and Junior categories, running until Sunday the 6th. Subsequently, from September 11th to 13th, it will be the turn of the Senior category, completing ten days of competition.
The representation from the Burjassot club in the Spanish national team includes Briana López (Youth); Ivana Carrión and Maryam Abdouni (Junior); and Martina Gil, Valeria Machuca, Carles Guillem, Nacho Viguer, and Piero González (Senior).
These eight athletes will compete in various disciplines. Briana López will participate in trio and group; Ivana Carrión, in individual, pair, and group; Maryam Abdouni, in trio. In the Senior category, Martina Gil will compete in individual, pair, and group; Valeria Machuca and Carles Guillem, in pair, trio, and group; Nacho Viguer, also in pair, trio, and group; and Piero González will be part of the Spanish group.
The presence of eight gymnasts from Abetmar at a competition of this caliber represents a new milestone for the club, reflecting the years of work by the athletes, the technical team, families, and everyone associated with the sports entity.
