The Palacio de Congresos de València will host the international congress NGTs for Crops 2027 from January 25 to 28, 2027. The event, which brings together specialists in new genomic techniques (NGTs), gene editing, and crop improvement, has extended the deadline for scientific abstract submissions to October 15, 2026.
Driven by the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Plant Biology (IBMCP, CSIC-UPV), the congress aims to create an international forum for exchange between the scientific community and the biotechnology and plant breeding sectors. The program will include lectures by international specialists, oral communications, posters, and debate sessions.
Advances in technologies such as CRISPR and cisgenesis will be discussed, along with their applications for improving crop yield, quality, and resistance. Issues related to regulation and intellectual property will also be addressed. The congress will feature a session dedicated to industry and an exhibition area for companies.
Contributions, which can be proposed as oral communications or posters, must be written in English, have a maximum length of 300 words, and be submitted exclusively through the congress's official form. Registration is also open.
The IBMCP encourages research groups and professionals working on new genomic techniques to participate and share their results in Valencia.
