The provincial council has set up a large stand featuring six information and promotion counters, along with a live cooking area. The aim is for attendees to "get to know firsthand the peculiarities of the pantry and cuisine of the province of València, which are already an indispensable part of our tourist offering," highlighted the Deputy for Tourism and Sports, Pedro Cuesta.
With around twenty activities, including gastronomic demonstrations, workshops, and talks, the council has designed a program for active participation in the event, which it has promoted since its inception through its València Turisme brand. This year's participation includes the destinations of València, Burjassot, Sueca, Meliana, Gandia, Buñol, Alboraya, El Palmar, Oliva, Andilla, Cullera, and the region of La Serranía. Some of these municipalities, such as Oliva, Gandia, Buñol, Cullera, and the city of València, also have their own stands.
For the first time, the council is participating in Barras Gourmet, a space aimed at professionals and visitors to enhance the visibility of products, recipes, establishments, and the diverse gastronomic cultures of the province, such as those related to the traditional Valencian lunch, rice dishes, market garden produce, and the Albufera region.
Additionally, the stand will host the presentation of the new recipe book Comer Territorio, created in collaboration with the Valencian Hospitality Business Federation.
