The city of València is celebrating the Gran Fira de Juliol, a festival that has enlivened its streets since 1871 and become a symbol of Valencian popular culture. This weekend's program features a variety of events for everyone.
On Friday, July 10th, Parc Central will host children's activities such as storytelling, a mini-disco, and workshops, along with musical performances like La Pelona. Plaça del Patriarca will feature a concert by Pablo Verdeguer, while the Poblats Marítims district will commemorate the 140th anniversary of CIBM with a parade and musical battles. There will also be live music in Carpesa with an Abba tribute.
On Saturday, July 11th, Parc Central will continue with children's activities and music. The day includes the Conciertos de Viveros (Viveros Concerts), featuring performances by Ultraligera, Conociendo Rusia, and Sr. Aliaga. The night's highlight will be a grand pyromusical firework display by pyrotechnics company Tamarit in Plaça de l'Ajuntament.
On Sunday, July 12th, Parc Central will offer more music and children's workshops. The Palau de la Música will host the Jazz Festival with José James and China Moses. Other activities include a mini-disco in Plaça dels Àngels, Viveros concerts with Tony Hadley, family magic with Piter Pardo, and a concert by the Societat Musical de Poblats Marítims. The evening will conclude with a monologue by Jesús Manzano in Plaça dels Àngels.
As a grand finale, the Feria de Atracciones de Verano (Summer Amusement Fair) will be open in section IX of the Jardí del Turia, between the Flores and Exposición bridges, on Friday and Saturday. This area features inflatables, bumper cars, trampolines, rides, skill games, tombolas, and a gastronomic zone.
The tradition of the Tribunal de las Aguas (Water Court), declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, can be discovered every Thursday at 12:00 PM at the Puerta de los Apóstoles of the València Cathedral.
