After a month of preseason, Valencian teams are preparing for the league's start. The competition kicks off on Saturday with the match between Alavés and Getafe. Villarreal will be the first Valencian team to debut, on Sunday at 5:00 PM against newly promoted Racing de Santander.
Shortly after, Levante will play their match away against Espanyol. The Granota team aims to build on their strong second half of the previous season, despite squad reconstruction and player departures.
Elche will also debut as visitors, against another promoted team, Deportivo de la Coruña. Without Sarabia and with Martín Anselmi at the helm, the Franjiverde team will strive to maintain their league status.
In the transfer market, teams are rushing to strengthen. Valencia is looking for a right-back, with Arnau Martínez as a potential signing. Elche is targeting Tiziano Perrotta for their forward line, while Levante is negotiating for an Argentine winger from Villarreal, Thiago Fernández.
Villarreal appears calmer in the market, with no anticipated moves, despite interest from other clubs in players like Mikautadze or Pape Gueyé.
In the Second Division, Castellón will open the competition on Friday against Real Sociedad B, aiming for promotion. CD Eldense will debut on Monday at home against Almería.
