The city of Valencia has closed today the twelfth edition of the Gai Games with an event held at the Fonteta, where the transfer of the organization to the Australian city of Perth was made official.

The event marked the end of a week marked by sports competitions and cultural proposals. According to data provided by the organization, the event had the participation of more than 10,200 athletes from 81 different nationalities.
The ceremony included the parade of the participating delegations and the delivery of the official flag to the Perth 2030 representation. During the event, the symbolic extinguishing of the flame that had presided over the games since January 27 took place.
The closing day ended with various musical performances and a pyrotechnic show scheduled at the Valencia Basket Afició Square, which also served to commemorate the Gran Fira de València.
