The program, which stems from the unanimous consensus of all municipal groups, aims to disseminate the monarch's legacy and his importance to Valencian identity. The events are organized into three main blocks ranging from the commemoration of the historical anniversary to the celebration of the Carta de Poblament.
The first block of activities, held between May and July, included educational initiatives and traditional games. The second block will focus on the October 9th Cultural Week, featuring concerts, theater, exhibitions, and the traditional Xàquera de Torrent. Finally, the month of November will be dedicated to the Carta de Poblament, with dramatized routes and conferences.
As part of this initiative, the council is working on the final installation of a sculpture of the monarch, by sculptor Rafael Pi Belda, which is expected to be inaugurated during the week of October 9th. Additionally, the official poster for the commemorative year, designed by José Santaeulalia, has been presented, linking the figure of the king with the Torre de Torrent.
