The publication, edited by the UMH Publishing House, includes texts from students of the University Classrooms of Experience (AUNEX) at the Elche and Novelda campuses. These shared narratives capture memories, learnings, and personal journeys, offering a perspective on the social and cultural evolution of recent decades.
The initiative stems from the final activity of the course Tools for Arguing and Convincing (Oneself). Students participated in a session dedicated to sharing fragments of their lives, which led to the creation of this book. The project was coordinated by the Deputy Vice-Rector for University Extension, Esther Fuentes, the Director of the SABIEX Area, Esther Sitges, and AUNEX lecturer María Amparo Calabuig.
The experiences documented cover themes such as childhood, education, work, migration, family relationships, and personal achievements. These testimonies illustrate how historical transformations have impacted the daily lives of different generations.
This initiative highlights the role of the AUNEX UMH as spaces for lifelong learning, active aging, and intergenerational dialogue, where accumulated experience becomes shared cultural heritage.
