The old town of Teulada, in Marina Alta, is preparing for a new edition of its Medieval Market, a summer event that attracts numerous residents and visitors. From Thursday, August 6th, to Sunday, August 9th, 2026, the streets will be filled with stalls offering crafts, gastronomy, music, and entertainment, providing an immersive experience for all ages.
The market will open its doors daily from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The official inauguration will be on Thursday, August 6th, at 8:00 PM with a grand musical parade through the historic center, accompanied by local associations, dance groups, the king's jester, and a falconer. This event will kick off an intense program of activities throughout the weekend.
Among the main attractions are the nightly fire and juggling shows in Plaza España, which will conclude each day. There will also be parades featuring knights, jesters, stilt walkers, musicians, and fantasy characters, as well as falconry demonstrations and knight duels.
For families, activities include a squire school, interactive storytelling, medieval theater, rune and magic wand workshops, and medieval dances. Children can also participate in archery duels, while adults can enjoy combat tactics and gypsy dance workshops. A giant chess game will be available throughout the four days.
The gastronomic and traditional craft offerings complete the leisure options. As a complement, on Sunday, August 9th, at 8:00 PM, the church of Santa Catalina Mártir will host a Candlelight Concert with a piano and cello duo.
The detailed program includes numerous parades and workshops each day, such as the squire school, rune workshops, falconry demonstrations, fire and juggling shows, knight duels, family theater, and concerts, spread throughout the historic center and Plaza España.
