A new episode of storms will hit the interior of the provinces of Castellón and Valencia this Friday afternoon, with a tendency to move towards the central coast. The most intense rainfall is expected between Serranía and Alto Mijares, as well as between Vall de Cofrents-Aiora and Canal de Navarrés, before heading towards the coast.
Given this forecast, Aemet has established an orange alert (significant danger) for the interior of the province of Valencia, in effect from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Up to 40 liters per square meter could accumulate in just one hour, and the storms may be accompanied by phenomena such as hail and very strong wind gusts.
For tomorrow, Saturday, rainfall is also expected in the interior of the province of Valencia, with a yellow level alert between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM. On this occasion, an accumulation of 25 l/m² in one hour is expected, along with possible storms with hail and strong gusts.
Additionally, tomorrow afternoon, the coast of the province of Valencia and the northern coast of the province of Alicante will be under a yellow alert for maximum temperatures that could reach 36 °C.
