The solidarity yoga session, held on July 5th along the Turia riverbed, has raised 315 euros destined for breast cancer research at the INCLIVA Health Research Institute.

The INCLIVA Health Research Institute, affiliated with the Hospital Clínico Universitario de València, has received a donation from a solidarity yoga session. The event was organized by Soraya Soler, an instructor at La Sala de Estar in Picanya.
The donation was presented at INCLIVA's facilities. Representing the institution were doctors Juan Miguel Cejalvo and Marta Tapias from the Breast Cancer Biology Research Group; the managing director, Vicente de Juan; and the general secretary, Maite Sáenz. Soraya Soler, the initiative's driving force, represented La Sala de Estar.
During the meeting, INCLIVA representatives expressed their gratitude for the initiative and shared details about their breast cancer research lines with Soler. Vicente de Juan emphasized that contributions like this "are the seed capable of shaping new research lines, thus helping to establish a solid research structure in the territory", pointing to Dr. Juan Miguel Cejalvo as an example of projects funded by patronage.
The managing director highlighted that breast cancer is a clear example of how research improves treatments and advances towards personalized medicine. He stressed the importance of early detection and making research a priority for those in positions of responsibility.
Dr. Juan Miguel Cejalvo valued the collaboration between public institutions and citizens, advocating for "a proactive attitude and social awareness versus passivity". He explained that his laboratory is closely linked to the hospital, ensuring that "everything researched there is related to what is observed in the clinic and has direct value for patients". He thanked the generosity of clinical trial participants and the importance of scientific outreach.
Soraya Soler explained that the yoga session aimed to "convey the value of solidarity, remembering that often what research eventually makes possible is initially deemed impossible". She highlighted that her center in Picanya focuses on preventive medicine, emphasizing personal habits.
The initiative, held on July 5th along the Turia riverbed, gathered 16 participants and individuals who joined the 'fila 0' (virtual participation), raising 315 euros. Soler indicated plans for future editions and stressed the importance of instilling solidarity among younger generations.
INCLIVA thanks all participants in the solidarity yoga session for their commitment to breast cancer research, further demonstrating how collaboration between civil society and biomedical research improves patients' lives.
