Emin Muqa Kulic, listed among Europe's most wanted criminals by Europol, was arrested last Saturday in a detached house in Sitges. Swedish authorities accuse him of involvement in 20 extreme violence offenses, including murders and homicides, using war weapons, long firearms, short firearms, and explosives.
Swedish authorities suspect Kulic was the intellectual author of several serious crimes during the summer of 2024 in the Stockholm area, such as a shooting in Södertälje and another in Midsommarkransen where a 13-year-old fired inside a pub, causing the death of a 25-year-old man. He is also linked to an incident in Södertälje in July 2024, where he allegedly ordered two youths to shoot a man who miraculously survived.
Investigators believe the suspect aimed to destabilize other criminal groups and provoke conflicts. He is also accused of training youths, some minors, to carry out executions and attacks, teaching them to use weapons and explosives he provided.
Kulic was located in Sitges in June 2025, following information exchanges between Spanish and Swedish authorities. He was found in a luxury urbanization property, allegedly owned by Mikael Tenezos, leader of the Dalen criminal network. Officers established surveillance and confirmed he did not leave the property, only the surrounding garden, aware of the warrant against him for serious offenses.
Given his dangerousness and the possibility of him possessing weapons and explosives, a search warrant was requested, leading to his arrest in the early hours of August 1st. The Swedish prosecutor's office highlighted that the operation was planned, preceded by extensive reconnaissance, and required Spain's assistance.
Recently, Jonas Falk, known as the 'Swedish Pablo Escobar', was convicted in Stockholm for four serious drug trafficking cases, having moved over two tons of cocaine. The court determined he had directed his cocaine empire from his mansion in Sitges for years, as confirmed by mobile phone connections in the area.
