The sixth edition of the Pinet Solidarity Walk has successfully raised 6,000 euros, which will be allocated to childhood and adolescent cancer research at the INCLIVA Health Research Institute in Valencia.

The walk, which brought together 230 participants and around twenty collaborating companies, was organized by Anna and Vicenta Bixquert with the support of the Pinet City Council. The donation will fund INCLIVA's REPLY project, led by Dr. Jaime Verdú, to develop new therapeutic alternatives for children and adolescents with pediatric non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
During the donation handover ceremony, Anna Bixquert expressed the emotion of representing the people of Pinet and thanked them for their trust in INCLIVA's work. Dr. Jaime Verdú highlighted the importance of these citizen initiatives in improving the lives of young patients.
Dr. Andrés Cervantes, INCLIVA's scientific director, emphasized the fundamental role of civil society in biomedical research, noting the extraordinary solidarity they receive. He also mentioned the possibility of organizing open house days to showcase the institute's research.
The 4.5-kilometer walk, accessible to all, was supported by Radio Ontinyent and promoted via WhatsApp. The organizers plan a future informational session to explain to Pinet residents how each euro contributed is used.
