ITACA-Forward Participates in BIOSPAIN 2026 to Showcase Health Research

Mercedes Poveda, representing ITACA-Forward, participated in BIOSPAIN 2026 in Bilbao. The event brought together more than 1,900 attendees from 900 organizations across 32 countries under the theme ‘Bioinnovation that clicks’.

During her presentation, Poveda highlighted the technological developments, innovative solutions, and collaboration opportunities offered by ITACA’s research groups focused on health.
The event facilitated meetings with companies, research centers, and other key stakeholders in the biotechnology and health ecosystem. These interactions provided opportunities to establish new connections and explore how ITACA’s expertise and technologies could address their specific needs.
The «ITACA FORWARD» project is part of the Program for Valorization and Transfer of Research Results to Companies, specifically Line 2, which aims to strengthen scientific units for technology development and knowledge dissemination to companies. The project has a total eligible budget of €393,688.00, with €354,319.20 financed by IVACE+i Innovation and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Program Comunitat Valenciana 2021-2027 (Project Reference: INNVA2/2025/17).
