The organization has demanded that Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) remove the ATP (Automatic Train Protection) system and return to the previous model. They explain that the new mechanism, which monitors train speed, has reduced speed limits in several key sections of the network, such as the Pont de Fusta loop or the Almassora street area.
The group warned that this situation has led to a significant increase in travel times, adding up to 15 extra minutes to some trips. This accumulation of delays means many trams do not complete their route and must turn back before reaching their final destination to try to adjust schedules.
Furthermore, the association criticized that the system does not prevent collisions with private vehicles that run red lights, which is the most frequent incident. For the organization, priority investments should focus on track renewal, equipment maintenance, and the implementation of a real traffic light priority system to improve public transport flow.
