The Palau de la Música in Valencia has unveiled its program for the 2026-2027 season, a cycle marking the institution's 40th anniversary with nearly sixty performances.

Titled 40 anys de la millor música, the Valencian auditorium has announced its upcoming season highlights. During the event, the renewal of Valencia Orchestra conductor Alexander Liebreich was confirmed, who will lead seven subscription concerts during the season.
The program will feature prominent figures such as Rinaldo Alessandrini and Christian Vásquez, serving as principal guest conductor and associate conductor, respectively. Additionally, Helmut Lachenmann will be the resident composer, while trumpeter Pacho Flores and double bassist Edicson Ruíz will join as resident artists.
As a highlight of the anniversary, on April 25, 2027, the Valencia Orchestra will perform a special concert featuring works by Strauss, Chopin—with pianist Kevin Chen—and Debussy. The season will also include the extraordinary debut of the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra, conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado.
