Digitalization reaches the neighborhood bar: EterSystem, the Madrid tech company helping the hospitality industry

With online reputation deciding where we eat, the Madrid-based company brings small hospitality businesses tools that were previously only available to large chains: from QR menus to artificial intelligence.

The company, headquartered in Parla (Madrid), has developed a suite of tools designed for bars, restaurants, and cafes that want to digitize their management without technical complications or large investments: from digital menus to automatic responses to Google reviews using artificial intelligence.

Today, before entering a restaurant, most customers have already made a decision: they made it on Google. Reviews, photos, and a establishment's rating weigh more than ever in the choice of where to eat, and the hospitality industry—a historically analog sector—faces the challenge of managing its digital presence with the same old resources: little time, few staff, and no IT department.
It is in this gap that EterSystem operates, a technology company based in Madrid that has built a suite of tools specifically designed for the HORECA sector: bars, restaurants, cafes, and dining establishments that need to digitize without changing their way of working.
Its catalog covers the entire hospitality business cycle. AppCarta allows for the creation of a digital menu with a QR code that updates instantly, without reprinting anything every time a price changes or a dish runs out. GoNow manages online reservations so the phone stops ringing in the middle of service. Crewly organizes staff shifts and automates time tracking, a legal requirement that many businesses still handle with paper sheets. Repify, one of its most recent tools, uses artificial intelligence to manage and respond to Google reviews, helping the restaurateur to care for their online reputation without dedicating hours they don't have. The suite is completed by Loyalty, a digital loyalty solution that replaces the classic stamped cardboard card.

"The restaurateur doesn't need more technology, they need technology that understands how their business works," explains the founder of EterSystem. "A neighborhood bar doesn't have an IT department or time for three-day training sessions. Our job is to make digitizing as simple as ordering a coffee: you scan, it works, and you forget about it."

Compared to large international platforms, the Madrid-based company has made proximity its main selling point: support in Spanish, prices adapted to small businesses, and tools that work separately or together, so that each establishment digitizes only what it needs, when it needs it.
The QR code menu that became popular during the pandemic was, for many businesses, their first contact with digitalization. Today, that same entry point leads to comprehensive management: reservations that organize themselves, shifts that comply with labor regulations, reviews that are answered with the help of artificial intelligence, and customers who return thanks to digital loyalty programs. For a sector that is an economic engine and an identity marker of neighborhoods across Spain, EterSystem's conclusion is clear: technology is no longer just for large chains.
