The company Món Orxata invites you to discover the secrets of tiger nuts and horchata through two immersive experiences. These proposals include guided tours of their organic fields located in the huerta of Alboraya, a landscape renowned for its ancient agricultural tradition.
During these visits, you will learn the history of the tiger nut, an ancient seed considered a superfood for its high nutritional value, healthy fats, and richness in vitamins and minerals.
The Classic experience (60 minutes, €25) begins with a tour of the organic tiger nut fields, explaining cultivation methods and the importance of the Valencian huerta, including its connection to the Tribunal de las Aguas (Water Court). Afterwards, you'll visit the artisan workshop to observe the traditional horchata-making process, followed by a tasting accompanied by fartons. The horchata workshop teaches an old recipe using almonds, tiger nuts, and dates.
The Complete experience (105 minutes, €39) adds a visit to the Espai Món Orxata, a cultural center with a collection of tiger nut-related antiques. The tasting is expanded to include sugar-free natural horchata, pastries, and a horchata cream for adults. As a gift, a kit with tiger nuts, fartons, and tiger nut chocolate is included.
