Around 70 people had to be rehoused in hotels in the city of València overnight due to a fire that broke out in the ground floor of a building located on Picayo street.

The fire started around 4:00 PM on Thursday, according to a call made by a witness to 112. Police are investigating the causes of the incident, which appears to have originated in an occupied dwelling that had been previously vacated.
Municipal sources have detailed that three homes were affected by the flames. Residents of building number 23 have been able to return to their homes, while those from number 25 have been transferred to different hotels in the city.
Specifically, approximately 70 people were rehoused in three hotel establishments, according to sources from the City Council.
