The Valencia City Council has commissioned various improvements at the Palau del Marqués de Campo, home of the City Museum, to adapt it for the temporary exhibition of the Valencian painter's works. These enhancements include expanding the security camera circuit, reinforcing the fire detection system, and increasing surveillance personnel, particularly during nighttime hours.
The total investment amounts to 291,917.15 euros. Of this sum, 207,178.52 euros are allocated to modifying the private security contract to increase the presence of guards. An additional 46,162.69 euros have been awarded to Elecnor Servicios y Proyectos SAU for improving the closed-circuit television and intrusion system, while Prosegur Soluciones Integrales de Seguridad España SL will receive 38,575.94 euros to renovate the fire detection facilities.
José Luis Moreno, Councilor for Cultural Action, Heritage, and Cultural Resources, highlighted that this initiative is part of the municipal government's commitment to promoting the return of Sorolla's works to his homeland. The aim is to ensure that the paintings by the master of light are displayed under the best possible conditions for Valencians and visitors alike.

The agreement for the transfer and exhibition of over 200 Sorolla works, from the Hispanic Society of America, was signed last January in Madrid. The exhibition will be temporarily housed at the City Museum until the Palacio de las Comunicaciones, which will be the permanent venue, is adequately prepared. The City Museum, located in the Palau del Marqués de Campo, is a building declared a Site of Cultural Interest.
