Campanar Celebrates the Festivities of the Crist del Pouet from September 20th to 27th

The Campanar neighborhood is preparing to celebrate its patron saint festivities in honor of the Santísimo Cristo del Pouet, which will take place from September 20th to 27th with a diverse program of events.

The Campanar neighborhood is finalizing details for its most anticipated festivities, which will feature gunpowder, folklore, and family and friends' gatherings. The program combines traditional events such as the chocolatada (hot chocolate tasting) or the parade with musical performances, religious rites, manual bell ringing, the Solemn High Mass, a mascletà (firecracker show), and a gala procession.
The festivities will take place from September 20th to 27th. On Sunday, September 20th, at 6:00 PM, the Grand Parade will be held. On Wednesday, September 23rd, at 6:00 PM, a large free hot chocolate will be offered to all residents in front of the Casal del Crist.
On Friday, September 25th, at 9:00 PM, the image of the Santísimo Cristo will be transferred to the home of the Clavari Major (Chief Standard-Bearer). The following day, Saturday, September 26th, the day will begin at 12:00 PM with manual bell ringing by the Campanar bell ringers' group. At 6:00 PM, there will be a tardeo party with current music and bar service, followed by a popular dinner at 10:00 PM with a sandwich and drink. The night will culminate with the musical and color show Marítim Fest.
On Sunday, September 27th, activities will begin at 10:00 AM with the Arreplegà (gathering) of the clavaris and clavariesses. At 11:00 AM, the image of the Santísimo Cristo will be processed to the Campanar parish church. At 12:00 PM, the Solemn High Mass will be celebrated at the Parish Church of Our Lady of Mercy of Campanar. The day will continue at 2:00 PM with a mascletà by Pirotecnia Mediterráneo. At 8:00 PM, the procession in honor of the Santísimo Cristo del Pouet will take place, accompanied by traditional sounds of the tabal and dolçaina, and Valencian dances. The festival will conclude with a fireworks display, also by Pirotecnia Mediterráneo.
