The town in L'Horta Nord, Albuixech, has completed the award of all allocated funds within the Open Plan of the Diputació de València. The investment, amounting to approximately 1.3 million euros, has been entirely dedicated to the rehabilitation of the municipal swimming pool and its surrounding area.
This investment program, running from 2024 to 2027, has a total allocation of 350 million euros. According to the latest data from the provincial institution, 60% of the resources have already been approved, exceeding 200 million euros, while town councils and inter-municipal consortia have awarded approximately 30% of the projects.
Albuixech thus aligns with Cofrentes, both municipalities being pioneers in awarding the entirety of the funds received. The Vice-President of the Diputació and head of the Cooperation Area, Natàlia Enguix, has emphasized that the plan's four-year duration facilitates ambitious project planning by the councils, improving citizens' quality of life.
Enguix has indicated that over 100 million euros are planned to be allocated this year to meet municipal requests, noting that the progressive increase in submitted initiatives is logical given the plan's four-year nature.
For his part, the president of the Diputació de València, Vicent Mompó, has encouraged municipalities to submit their pending projects to ensure the full execution of the budgeted 350 million euros, a figure considered historic.
The Diputació has updated the Open Plan portal, providing real-time information on investment progress, including award percentages per municipality, budget status, and details of planned actions. Albuixech leads the provincial ranking, followed by towns such as Petrés, Montserrat, Jalance, and Benagéber, which exceed 90% of awards.
With the complete award of its funds, Albuixech advances in its legislative planning, improving a key facility for citizen and sports use.
