The Department of Urban Mobility in Villena aims to promote a non-polluting and more environmentally friendly service. To this end, Councilor Francisco Iniesta held several meetings with public transport sector professionals during his visit to the International Bus and Coach Fair, recently held in Madrid.
The primary objective of these meetings was to understand the new technical features of vehicles and the requirements that other administrations are including in their urban transport service tender documents. Iniesta noted that the future tender for the renewal of the city's urban service contract is currently under review.
This new tender seeks to modernize the service and establish updated environmental and comfort standards for vehicles. During the fair, Iniesta spoke with suppliers offering electric or zero-emission vehicles.

Iniesta considered the fair a crucial opportunity to gather relevant information for the upcoming tender of Villena's urban transport system.
