The Councilor for Sports, Maite Gandía, has expressed her satisfaction with the initiative, highlighting it as a highly demanded activity that is more of a citizen's ride than a race. Last year, the event attracted over 1,000 participants.
The president of the Nazaríes Association, Francisco José Sánchez, expects similar participation to last year. The event is open to everyone, whether they are part of the festivities or not, and is free of charge. Participants will receive a gift bag at the finish line, followed by a raffle of products donated by sponsors.
For the organization, the Nazaríes Association will have over 20 volunteers, a preventive health service, and the collaboration of the Local Police and Civil Protection.
This marks the second edition of the revival of this recreational and sporting event, which dates back to 1977 and had a 23-year hiatus until last year. The activity, jointly organized by the Nazaríes Association and the City Council of Villena, will wind through various city streets.
