The decision, made during the ordinary plenary session of July 30, 2026, aims to facilitate the numerous scheduled activities and ensure the well-being of attendees, anticipating a significant increase in visitors and, consequently, traffic.
Additionally, further measures have been implemented to bolster road safety, including the provisional enhancement of pedestrian crossings on Constitución Avenue, intended to minimize accident risks during the festive period.
The campaign to control firecracker usage, launched in 2024, has also yielded positive outcomes, reducing complaints and incidents related to these devices by 25% since its inception.
The pre-festival event, Sunset del Castillo, organized by The Waterparties Club, will take place soon, marking the commencement of the celebration.
