Claudia Navarro and Cloe Ruiz have been designated as the new Mayoral and Child Representatives for Villena's upcoming 2027 Moros y Cristianos Festivities, following the jury's decision.

The mayor of Villena, Fulgencio Cerdán, along with the Councillor for Festivities, José Ferri, and other municipal and festive representatives, announced the selection of the new representatives. The jury's decision was made public after the vote count, with the traditional phone call to the chosen young women, Claudia Navarro Hernández and Cloe Ruiz Mira, who received the news with emotion.
Claudia Navarro, who belongs to the Christianiers' comparsa (parade group), will be the Mayoral Representative, while Cloe Ruiz, from the Andaluces comparsa, will hold the position of Child Representative. Both will be responsible for the festive representation of Villena until the end of the 2027 festivities.
The mayor highlighted the open nature of the selection process, which this year included male candidacies, achieving a second-place position. Cerdán encouraged those not selected this time to reapply in future calls, reminding them that each process represents a new opportunity to participate.
