The province of Castellón could experience its second heatwave of the summer this week, with maximum temperatures reaching 42 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, according to Aemet forecasts.

After a few days of milder temperatures, the meteorological forecast for the province of Castellón points to a rise in thermometers starting Monday, culminating on Wednesday with maximums that could reach 42 degrees Celsius in locations like Segorbe and around 40 degrees Celsius in the regions of Alto Palancia and Alto Mijares.
On Monday, temperatures will remain relatively mild, with highs between 29 and 33 degrees Celsius on the coast and up to 34 degrees Celsius inland, such as in Alto Palancia and pre-coastal areas like Onda and Atzeneta. Tuesday anticipates a slight increase, reaching 35 degrees Celsius in areas of Alto Palancia and Els Ports.
From Thursday onwards, a notable decrease in temperatures is expected across the province, potentially by up to five degrees Celsius in the hottest areas. On Friday, intense heat will return to the southern interior, though without exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, while coastal highs will range between 31 and 36 degrees Celsius. Saturday is expected to bring another slight decrease, particularly inland.
