Forest fire stabilized in the Font d'Onzell area of Culla

The forest fire that started on Friday afternoon in the Font d'Onzell area, in the municipality of Culla, was stabilized this Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

According to the Castellón Provincial Fire Consortium, extinguishing teams remain deployed in the area to carry out perimeter consolidation tasks and prevent any flare-ups.
The operation involves a heli-transported unit from the Generalitat Forest Firefighters, four aerial assets, and a volunteer fire crew. Starting at 10:00 a.m., three additional Forest Firefighter units joined to reinforce control efforts.
During Friday, ground and aerial teams worked intensively on reviewing the perimeter, achieving favorable progress since the start of the intervention. The Fire Consortium reported that of the seven forest fires declared on Friday in the province, all have been extinguished except for those in Culla and Peñíscola, which are showing positive progress.
