The municipality of Culla, in the l'Alt Maestrat region, will host a new edition of L'Encesa on Saturday, July 11, transforming its historic center into a space illuminated exclusively by thousands of candles.

The initiative, which has become a highlight of the summer calendar, involves turning off public lighting starting at 10:30 PM. At that moment, more than 8,000 candles placed by residents will decorate the streets, squares, and corners of the old town, which is designated as a Historic-Artistic Site and Asset of Cultural Interest.
The event aims to offer a different perspective on the town's medieval heritage. The warm light of the candles will highlight the architecture and historical elements of the municipality, creating a unique nocturnal scene under the sky of l'Alt Maestrat.
The evening will be accompanied by various musical performances scattered throughout the historic center. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the gastronomic offerings of local establishments, completing a proposal that blends culture, music, and tradition in a protected setting.
