Each municipality will receive 10,000 euros to compensate for necessary actions after the emergency, which burned approximately 754 hectares across both municipal areas. Of these, about 404 hectares belong to Tírig and 350 to Catí.
The provincial Government Board has detailed the bases for these subsidies, part of the 'Diputación Responde' Plan. They are aimed at municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants affected by natural disasters and can be used for both current expenses and investments.
The president of the Provincial Council, Marta Barrachina, emphasized that the goal is to facilitate a rapid economic response to the municipalities to help them restore normality after the fire.
This is the third time this disaster aid line has been activated this summer, following other emergencies from fires and intense rainfall. The institution also allocated 1.7 million euros following the July fire that affected la Vall d’Uixó and other municipalities, although in that case, la Vall d’Uixó and Onda each received 100,000 euros through special agreements for not meeting the under-20,000-inhabitant requirement.
The Provincial Council has also convened the technical commission to analyze the damage caused by heavy rains in Bejís and Torás, whose damages are being assessed to determine appropriate actions.
