The document aims to define a specific protection framework for the tower and its surroundings, in order to ensure its preservation and establish intervention criteria compatible with the historical, architectural, and landscape characteristics of the complex. The drafting of the plan will allow for the identification of heritage elements and values to be protected, as well as the establishment of necessary provisions to regulate possible actions in this area.
In this way, the goal is to ensure that any future intervention is consistent with heritage conservation and contributes to maintaining the historical identity of the site. Likewise, the document seeks to promote orderly management of the watchtower's surroundings, considering its heritage relevance and the need to reconcile its preservation with uses and actions that may be developed in the nearby area.
The project has a budget of 11,265.10 euros and will be financed through the Generalitat Valenciana's Plan Restaura, an initiative to support heritage conservation and recovery that enables municipalities to promote actions aimed at protecting their historical assets.
With this initiative, the Culla City Council reinforces its commitment to the protection of local historical heritage and to the planning of measures that preserve the municipality's most representative elements. The drafting of the Special Protection Plan for the Sant Cristòfol watchtower and its surroundings represents a further step in the conservation of this space and the protection of its historical and landscape values, with a view to ensuring its preservation for future generations.
