A mountain biker was rescued on Saturday at La Fenassosa Bike Park, in Banyeres de Mariola, after falling down an approximately twenty-meter embankment and sustaining multiple traumas.

The incident occurred around 12:00 PM when the cyclist's companions alerted Emergency Services 112 of the Generalitat about the fall while they were on a route through the circuit. The park's rugged terrain complicated direct ground access.
Emergency services activated an aerial and ground operation. The Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Alicante was deployed with its helicopter and Rescue Group, specializing in mountain interventions. Concurrently, the Generalitat Valenciana dispatched its medicalized helicopter.
Coordinated by both air assets, the Consortium's rescue team descended to the fall site, immobilized the injured rider, and performed a vertical extraction. The victim was subsequently transferred to the Generalitat's medicalized helicopter.
Medical personnel continued attending to the cyclist, who presented multiple traumas and disorientation. The firefighters' operation concluded around 1:41 PM, completing the rescue and aerial evacuation.
