During the 2025/2026 academic year, Alcoy's environmental education program saw a total of 3,779 schoolchildren participate. Additionally, 232 visits focused on the reintroduction of vultures within the Canyet Project were conducted. This year's summer activities attracted 195 people, featuring events like the Bat Night with 90 attendees, summer cinema with 75 participants, and a nocturnal insect activity with 30 attendees. Unfortunately, the astronomical night had to be canceled.
Throughout the year, schools hosted a diverse range of workshops covering topics such as waste management and the circular economy, including the creation of recycled paper and sustainable fashion. Actions were also undertaken to highlight biodiversity by exploring insects, local fauna, ethnobotany, and the traditions of the nearby mountains. Furthermore, school reforestation efforts, activities to identify trees in Alcoy's parks, and interpretive routes through natural sites like Brollador del Molinar, Barranc del Cint, Racó de Sant Bonaventura, and Font Roja were organized.

The Councillor for Climate Emergency, Raül Llopis, positively assessed the development of this municipal service. Llopis emphasized the importance of environmental education for shaping future generations and enhancing citizens' quality of life, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle integrated with the local territory. While participation was lower than in previous years, it was affected by an educational strike in public schools during May and June, and by the service's delayed start in November due to administrative tender procedures.
