L'Alcora has celebrated the 184th edition of the Mussol Fair, a traditional event that brought together offerings for all audiences and the participation of local collectives.

The 184th Mussol Fair has gathered in L'Alcora for a celebration combining tradition, associativism, and family entertainment. The historic event, with over 180 years of history, featured a varied program of exhibitions, workshops, and activities for all ages.
The fair's origins date back to 1843, when the Provincial Council of Castellón authorized its celebration. The name refers to the owls historically used in the practice of 'parany' (a traditional hunting method), deeply rooted in the locality. Over time, the fair has evolved, maintaining its connection to traditions and the local associative fabric.
The day began at 10:00 AM with traditional stalls and the official inauguration at 10:30 AM, attended by municipal authorities, the Official Chronicler of L'Alcora, and the 2026 Court of Honor, accompanied by the Associació Cultural Dolçainers i Tabaleters l’Alcalatén.
Throughout the morning, attendees could visit a motorcycle and photography exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of Motoclub l’Alcora. The X Trobada de Boixets (bobbin lace meeting), organized by Associació La Alcorina, also took place, bringing together participants around this artisanal technique at the Espai Polivalent Nau BIC of the Reial Fàbrica.
Family activities played a significant role, with a climbing wall, zip line, and inflatables in the IES l’Alcalatén area, alongside workshops such as making 'cabuts' (traditional figures). The more traditional aspect featured participation from the Columbicultura Club La Alcorense, the Ornithological Society La Alcorense, and Amics del Parany, including a reenactment of the 'parany' on Corts Valencianes avenue.
The afternoon continued with a hot chocolate treat and a parade by the Colla Gegantera (giant figures group), where children who had participated in the 'cabuts' workshop could showcase their creations. The Mussol Fair reaffirmed its role as a meeting point for L'Alcora's tradition and associative life.
