This initiative, which concludes the European Mobility Week, aims to encourage the use of collective and sustainable transport. The Generalitat's campaign, named 'Choose public transport Move. Share. Connect', aligns with the European initiative 'Mobility for all people'.
In Metrovalencia, validation gates will be deactivated to facilitate access to underground stations, although ticket vending machines will remain active for purchasing tickets that will indicate the service's gratuity. On the TRAM de Alicante, both onboard and station validators will be out of service. Ticket vending machines will also display the free service, allowing the purchase of most tickets, excluding single, round-trip, and metropolitan ones.
Access to Metrobús buses and the TRAM de Castelló will also be free all day. The Generalitat is committed to sustainable mobility, maintaining free travel for under-14s on regional transport and for residents affected by the floods last October.
Additionally, a general 40% reduction is offered on season tickets and multi-journey passes for other users. Those under 31 can continue to access discounts of up to 50% on monthly passes through the Móbilis 30 card.
