Of this total, 171 women have accessed this specialized resource for the first time, which focuses on comprehensive care for victims of sexual exploitation in contexts of prostitution or trafficking. The province of Alicante also concentrates the majority of residential admissions for the program during this period, with thirteen women housed in specialized centers.
The Consell has decided to increase funding for this initiative by 35.84%, with a budget exceeding 3.5 million euros for the 2025-2027 period. The goal is to strengthen prevention, detection, and protection of victims, as established in the I Valencian Strategy against the trafficking of women and girls.
At the regional level, the number of women assisted reaches 2,526. Specialized teams carry out interventions both at provincial headquarters and on the street, including apartments, clubs, and industrial estates. In total, the network has 31 centers and 374 places to offer social, legal, and psychological support to users.
