The State Meteorological Agency has reported that, following a stable weekend, an intense heat episode is expected to affect much of the Comunitat Valenciana starting Monday.

According to official forecasts, the rise in temperatures will be progressive over the coming days. The most significant episode will occur between Monday and Wednesday, a period during which thermometers could exceed 35 degrees on the coast and reach 40 degrees in inland and pre-coastal areas.
During this Saturday, the sky will remain slightly cloudy or clear in the province of Alicante, with temperatures showing no significant changes. However, meteorological authorities have indicated that, for Tuesday and Wednesday, afternoon storms could form in mountainous areas, although with little precipitation.
Given the alert for this heat episode, AEMET recommends extreme caution, especially for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and those citizens suffering from pre-existing conditions.
