The work, which explores conflicts in rural settings, was selected from 23 finalists out of more than 700 entries. The festival's main goal is to promote the visibility of women in the audiovisual industry.
During the closing ceremony, the creation of the Cortesina Community was announced, an initiative designed to foster collaboration among all participants involved in the festival since its inception.
The awards list included other recognitions such as second prize for El cuerpo de Cristo and third for Define verano. Special mentions were also given to works like Kiboko, named best Alicante short film, and Drachenfangen, as best international short film.
The festival is organized by the Asociación Mujeres por la Igualdad de Alicante, with the support of various public and academic entities, including the Generalitat Valenciana, the Alicante Provincial Council, and the University of Alicante.
