The municipality of San Vicente del Raspeig is advancing in improving thermal comfort in its public educational centers thanks to the first phase of the EduClima plan, promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana. This plan will allow, in a later phase, the air conditioning of all educational spaces in the town.
The regional investment benefits a total of 19 centers. Of these, 13 centers for Early Childhood, Primary, and Special Education will receive 110,500 euros, while 6 centers for Secondary and Special Regime will receive 129,500 euros.
The City Council of San Vicente del Raspeig celebrates the regional administration's commitment to improving classroom conditions, which will directly translate into higher educational and learning quality. The council has already held meetings with the beneficiary centers to expedite the management of economic resources and offer municipal collaboration, such as reviewing electrical installations to ensure safety.
The centers that have received aid are CEIPs Azorín, Bec de L’Àguila, Jaume I, José Ramón García Antón, Jaun Ramón Jiménez, L’Horta, La Almazara, Miguel Hernández, Raspeig, Reyes Católicos, Santa Isabel Victoria Kent; IES Gaia, Haygón, María Blasco, San Vicente; CIPFP Canastell, the Official School of Languages, and the Public Center FPA Sant Vicent Ferrer.
The Generalitat will allow each center to allocate resources to different heat adaptation measures, such as installing ventilation systems, awnings, tarpaulins, porches, wooden structures for new shaded areas, or patio renaturalization through tree and vegetation planting.
