The Governing Team of the San Vicente del Raspeig City Council has approved the project to adapt a new 500-square-meter premises located on the ground floor of the Town Hall. This space will become a multipurpose area, primarily for hosting municipal activities aimed at the municipality's seniors.
The project, overseen by the Architecture department, has an estimated execution budget of 832,000 euros and a construction period of six months. According to the mayor and councilor for Architecture, Pachi Pascual, the last remaining unused space in the municipal building will be remodeled into a multipurpose area with rooms of different capacities (between 62 and 71 square meters), prepared for activities related to the Senior Citizens' Department, exhibitions, training rooms, or information campaigns.
The councilor for Seniors, Yolanda Iborra, highlighted the need for modern and accessible facilities to improve municipal services for the elderly in a central location.
The premises will feature natural light through a glazed wall with direct access from the Plaza de la Comunidad Valenciana. This outdoor area will host activities and will have rooms separated by movable acoustic panels, allowing spaces to be adapted according to their use. At the rear, a service area will be located with public restrooms and support facilities for events and storage.
The mayor detailed that the layout will allow the rooms to function as a single large hall or be divided into two, three, or up to four spaces. All rooms will have access to both the square and the service area. A mezzanine will also be built above the service area for storage and general installations, adding nearly 100 square meters to the 409 square meters on the ground floor.
