The summer program, named 'Verano Vivo', will kick off this Friday, July 24th, and run until Saturday, September 5th, featuring a total of 42 performances designed for all audiences and distributed across various venues, with Plaza de España as the main stage.
The Councilor for Culture, Óscar Lillo, highlighted the diversity of the offering, which includes new features such as the Zarzuela Festival, the 'Música en los Barrios' (Music in the Neighborhoods) cycle to bring culture to all areas, and a specific program for children, 'Peque Verano' (Little Summer). Cycles like 'Sanvi Baila' (Sanvi Dances), 'Días de Tango' (Tango Days), and 'Sanvi Blues' have also been scheduled.
The opening will be led by the dance studio María Torres and the group Los Gatos, with performances at Plaza de España and Haygón, respectively. Dance will play a prominent role with the 'Sanvi Baila' cycle, which will include the International Dance Gala and performances by local studios. Meanwhile, 'Viva la Zarzuela' will present titles such as 'La del Manojo de Rosas' and 'Gigantes y Cabezudos'.
The 'Música en los Barrios' cycle will bring flamenco and other music concerts to various parts of the municipality, while 'Peque Verano' will offer family shows at Lo Torrent Park with companies like Tolón Tell On and Maracaibo Teatro. The 'Días de Tango' cycle will feature four events at Plaza de España, and 'Sanvi Blues' will include performances by Le Jazz Hot and Rails Blues Band.
Lillo emphasized the City Council's commitment to accessible, free, and quality culture, accommodating both local artists and top-level performances. The goal is to revitalize public spaces and offer an almost daily program for all ages.
The complete program includes performances such as 'Verano con M. El Tossal', 'Queen & ABBA con Cuerdas', 'Bello Bolero con Marvin & Omar', and concerts by the Orquesta Sinfónica Académica de San Vicente, among many other musical and dance proposals that will fill public spaces throughout the summer.
