Over the next two days, El Campello will be the epicenter of classical music with the celebration of two musical events. These occasions will feature internationally acclaimed pianists from the United States and Cuba, alongside renowned Spanish musicians. The concerts, held at the House of Culture, are free of charge, although attendance will be limited by the venue's capacity.
Organized by AFOMUC (Association for the Promotion of Classical Music), in collaboration with the Culture Department, these performances mark the conclusion of the II AFOMUC–El Campello Piano Encounter and the I Piano Interpretation Competition. The concerts will take place on the 10th and 11th, featuring performances by the participating course professors.
These are two special concerts that will bring together top international performers, including American pianist Kivhael Min, the prestigious Spanish pianist Francisco Escoda, and Cuban pianist Karla Martínez. It's a unique opportunity to enjoy classical music and the talent of these distinguished pianists and educators.
The performance on the 10th will feature a selection of Beethoven sonatas, allowing the audience to explore the composer's creative evolution, from his early works to his mature expressive depth. These pieces will be performed by a cast of renowned pianists and educators.
Admission is free until full capacity is reached. Friday's concert will begin at 9:00 PM and last approximately sixty minutes, allowing attendees to later enjoy the Spanish national football team's match. Saturday's concert will start at 8:30 PM.
Saturday's concert, on the 11th, will include a journey through works by composers such as Joaquín Turina, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Manuel de Falla, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ferruccio Busoni, Ernesto Lecuona, Maurice Ravel, and Aldo López-Gavilán. They will be performed by pianists Francisco Escoda Patrón (Spain), Michael Min (United States), and Karla Martínez Rabanal (Cuba).
As a grand finale, the awards ceremony for the I Interpretation Competition will take place, a significant moment to recognize the talent of the young participating performers.
